The Capital One Venture now not only has a great sign-up bonus of 75,000 miles (worth $750 or more), but there’s an additional promo for up to $200 in statement credits for flights with Avelo airlines.
And that’s on top of the build in benefits to the Venture card.
This is a great offer if you’re looking for a flexible travel rewards credit card.
The Venture is the mainstream travel card that Capital One offers, and it’s full of nice perks. I’ll tell you all about them below.

My Experience Signing Up For the Venture
I decided to do this deal myself and I’m happy to report the process was easy.
Following the Avelo link takes you to the Capital One site, where you fill out a very standard credit card application. They’ll show you the Avelo benefits and Venture sign-up bonus off to the side to lure you into finishing.
Once you hit submit the application will process. It took about 30 seconds for it to approve me. The credit limit was pretty generous.
After you’ve been approved they’ll make your account and card. For me the card took about 10 days to get. There’s a progress tracker in the account dashboard so you can check what step the process is on.
In the Capital One mobile app there’s a nice bonus tracker that lets you see how much more spending you need to do to get the intro bonus. It tells you the specific deadline too.
Overall a very smooth process.
Thoughts About The Venture Sign-Up Bonus
The great thing about the Capital One Venture is how easy it is to use. There’s no need to remember categories or shifting rewards. You’ll always get a strong 2x miles rate on what you buy. This card could be good for everyday use because of it’s high flat rate.
Unlike its sibling the VentureOne, it does carry an annual fee, but it isn’t too high and it provides added value to justify it. The higher earning rate, the bigger bonus, and the free credit for trusted traveler programs make the card appealing.
The 2 complimentary lounge visits per year would be particularly valuable to someone who doesn’t have any access yet, or someone who only flies a few times a year.
The $200 Avelo statement credit puts this bonus over the top from great to fantastic. Avelo is a newish budget airline that has flight routes along both coasts. There’s a map that shows flight paths on towards the bottom of the main Avelo page.
When you add it all up it’s a great opportunity to snag a strong travel rewards card.

This link will take to the offer page on the Avelo site. Both the VentureOne and the Venture are listed here. If you’re applying, you might want to do the pre-qualification quiz on the Capital One site first, which you can find here. Make sure you go back to the special Avelo offer to actually sign up though.
