Thoughts About the SavorOne Card
If a significant amount of your spending is on groceries or dining and you don’t already have a good rewards card for those categories, the SavorOne is a good choice.
The lack of an annual fee makes the card easy to keep around and use occasionally if you need it. The rewards categories are fixed instead of rotating, so you don’t have a lot to remember. It’s called savor, it’s for food. Redemptions for the rewards are straightforward as well.
Finding a way to earn cash back on dining and groceries is an important part of your overall cash back strategy because food is a constant expense.
If you spend a lot on dining and entertainment, you might be better off with the annual-fee version of the card, the Capital One Savor, as it offers boosted cash back rates.
Capital One has a pre-approval tool on their website and it’d be a good idea to try that first and see if the card is suggested.
