So What Is RebateKey?
Rebatekey.com is a website that offers rebates on purchases. Many items listed are from Amazon, but Etsy and Shopify stores also list rebates. You claim an item you want on their site, purchase whatever it is at full price, and then 35 days later you will receive the rebate amount.
How Much Of A Rebate Do They Offer?
This depends on the item. Taking the rebate into account, they have totally free things as well as heavily discounted things that offer from a small amount back to more than 90% back. If you want to see all the free items, sort the results by lowest price.
What Kind Of Things Do They Offer?
Really, a whole variety of stuff. I’ve seen skincare and supplements pretty consistently, along with the occasional specialty food item. There’s a fair amount of small household stuff like kitchen tools and I even got a recipe book and a piece of exercise equipment!
Can You Really Get Free Online Rebates From RebateKey?
Ultimately, if you only get free items, yes. Sometimes you’ll have to pay tax on the purchase and the rebate won’t include that, but that’s the only cost for the 100% rebates. Basically your money will be tied up for 35 days, and then you will get it back.
Is RebateKey Legit?
Yup, definitely. I’ve gotten my money back with no problem.
Beyond that, it’s not breaking Amazon rules either. Per the Amazon TOS, rebate sites are allowed as long as they don’t require review, which rebatekey does not. For some items you’ll receive a message on your site account asking you to please review if you can, but it’s never required to get the rebate payment.
How Do You Get Payed Back?

How do the rebate payments work specifically?
There are three options for receiving your rebate payments.
First, you can get the amount as a virtual gift card. Many different cards are available, including Amazon, Visa, and Mastercard.
Second, you get the amount sent to your Paypal account. You have to connect your Paypal account and verify it to do this. They charge a $0.50 fee for each transaction done this way.
Third, you can have a check mailed to you. A $1.00 fee is charged per check sent.
You can also schedule how often you want to get the rebate payments. Set the payment schedule to monthly to reduce the number of payouts and save on fees.
RebateKey Listings
When Are Online Rebates From RebateKey Posted?
Listings for products go up throughout the day. Most seem to appear in the earlier part of the day, from 3 AM EST to 3 PM EST. They commonly cluster around a change of hour, although they can and do appear at other times.
There are specific numbers of rebates available, and once that number of rebates has been claimed the listing will go away, at least for the day.
Most listings release new rebates for several days.
If you mouse over the little clock icon on the product page the site will tell when rebates for the item are released.
The clock won’t appear if all rebates for the day have already been claimed, but you will have the option of signing up to be notified when more of the item is available. The site will then send you an email when the item shows up.
Don’t rely too much on the notification, as I think sometimes it doesn’t come right away.

Can You See All The Listings That Are Available?
![rebatekeyAvailableSlider Availability slider button on RebateKey](https://catchthefreebie.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/rebatekeyAvailableSlider.png)
Yes, just click the slider at the top of the page that says “available now”. By default only items with rebates left are shown, but changing the slider will also show you things that are currently out of stock.
How Does Purchasing An Item Work?
When you click on the blue confirmation bar in a product listing, the site will start processing your order. Your spot will be reserved and you’ll then have an hour to complete the rebate.
Generally how this works is clicking a link to store, buying the item, and then pasting the order ID number into the pop-up that appears on Rebate Key.
If you ever click out of the order pop-up, you can find the confirm purchase link in your activity section, reachable by clicking the signal strength icon at the top of the page.
An important point: make sure the listing on Amazon (or wherever) matches the listing on Rebate Key. If the price or product is different it can cause an issue.
I’ve only had an issue with this once, and easily cancelled the order.
How Do You Cancel A Purchase?
In the same purchases menu used to enter a confirmation, you will find a link to cancel the purchase. As far as I know cancelling rebates before buying doesn’t count against you, and I’ve cancelled several.
Tips For Using RebateKey
1
Having Amazon Prime helps make the items truly free. That way you won’t have to pay shipping on the Amazon rebates.
2
If you’re getting cash back through Paypal or a check, it’s important to set the payment schedule to monthly so that you can minimize the fees charged.
3
Check the clock icon so that you know when the rebates for that item are released.
4
Make sure the product listing on the store matches the listing on RebateKey in both price and specifications. Otherwise the rebate might not count.
Should You Get Online Rebates From RebateKey?
Sure, why not?
It’s free to sign up and easy to participate. If you don’t see something you like right away come back at different times in the day or check what rebates are currently out of stock.
Personally I go through phases of using it a lot and other times where I focus on different sites. But it’s well worth checking out.
I like that the pending period for the rebate cash is shorter than some other rebate sites.
Next to Rebaid this is the best free rebate site that I know of and it can easily get you hundreds of dollars in free products.
